Homelessness 

There is a crisis in Ward 2 that requires common-sense solutions with compassion and accountability.

  • Work hard to stop it before it happens

  • raising awareness by working with shelters and outreach programs

  • Advocate and strengthen mental illness services

  • Expand ready to work and job placement programs

Housing that makes people sick-issue

Across Ward 2 there are families living with:

  • Mold/mildew

  • Broken heat and air

  • Slow to no repairs while rent rate continue to rise

  • Pests

When Elected

  • Strengthen inspections and enforcement

  • Address absentee and out of state landlords to maintain their property.

  • Demand repairs and dignified living conditions

Economic Development

For years, Ward 2 has been vulnerable to stagnant economic growth, disappearing jobs, higher rental rates, closing schools, and high crime, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and instability.

When Elected

  • Work alongside Chamber of Commerce to recruit businesses to invest in Ward 2, creating jobs

  • Empower and strengthen local small businesses through education workshops and microgrants.
